Information:"Avinu, av harachaman, hamracheim, rachem aleinu" is from the prayer "Ahavat Olam," found in the liturgy before the morning Shema.
"Ptach libi betoratecha uvmitzvotecha, tirdof nafshi" is from the meditation after the Amida prayer. It is found in the Talmud on Berakhot 17a and is attributed to Mar bar Ravina from the 4th century. There is a contemporary song by the Mesivta of Waterbury, Connecticut combining these two paragraphs. | |
