Translation:Comfort ye, comfort ye My people, says your God.
Speak to the heart of Jerusalem, and proclaim to her, that her time of service is accomplished, that her guilt is paid off; that she has received from the Lord's hand double for all her sins. Hark! one calls in the wilderness: "Clear a path for the Lord, make plain in the desert a highway for our God." Comfort ye, comfort ye My people, says your God.
